Sunday Summer

You're craving something in yourself that
You think you'll find in my
Lips. Pink-chocolate cherry smile makes
You nervous; my Eyes flash golden green
Laughter. My realness baffles you. But,
You make endless loops and circles
Craining your neck to throw your
Eyes like a net over me.

I'm impossible
You think. Pert.
Delicious. Absurd. Impractical.
Amusing. Vain. Exquisite.
Will you find what you're craving?
I wriggle under your stare but never falter. I am
Awake and Full.
Why tease me with your gaze,
Suck in your breath as I walk by?
Why poke me with your thoughts?
Distract my heart with longing?
Like what you see or don't!

Plump, soft hills, voluptuous mounds; Buxom
Figure has the sunniest smile. Come explore!
But You -
You take the long way 'round
Away from my ample playground.
Puzzled grimace, puckered brow
Scrunched face. Hard eyes on
Fiery alert. Attention:
Something ablaze! Still,
I'm Real. But,
You don't believe your own
Eyes or
Ears or
Hands or
Nose. Even my perfume
Entices you. Intoxicated -
But, you don't come near.

You think I should inspire you - to
Remove another chunk of me that satisfies the
Licking your fingers after dinner. Well,
My Heart's no longer a war zone. I
Won't chase you. I'm not open like that anymore.
No longer beguiled;
Enchanted, mesmerized. Don't wait - that
You think I will flop like a Seal when
You whistle.

I'm the Poet - the
Balladeer, the Conjurer of
Sunday summers weightlessly flailing; the
Conquistador in nights full of Stars.
The Creatrix of hummed, hollow tunes.
Follow me! I'm the
Melody, my dear. I sing the
Songs you want to Feel.
You want to Feel Me.
Your eyes wish to
Penetrate me but can never see
What Beauty has become. Once Upon A Time
Has fallen asleep. You think
I don't hear your snores? Listen!
Listen, the Siren sings you away -

Come! Reach over this rounded sky;
Take a long drag of me.
Drape my body in luscious gaze;
Purring hands at the small of my back.
Tracing fingers; Bathe my face in twilight grin.
Gentle snowflake words sweep across my
Neck and collarbone; Tender phrase in lace.
Carry sunset beaches undulating your
Strong hands. I'm the wave - coming in, going out.
You holding me.
Sip my mind.
Orbit me.
Listen to my Dreams.
Hike my landscape punctuated in mockingbird
Song. Be the novel alive in me.
Step across this fleshy night, and
Roam your mouth alongside me.
Breathe the Moon and
Me.
